Published: Thursday 12 July 2007
Lastminute.com is one of the most famous names to survive from the heady days of the dot-com boom. Founded by Brent Hobermann and Martha Lane Fox the company went on to float on the stock market before being taken over by travel group Sabre Holdings, which itself has just been bought out by a private equity consortium.
In this video interview Lastminute.com CTO Arun Rajan talks to silicon.com community editor, Andy McCue, about how the entrepreneurial spirit from those early days still drives the company to innovate and how the tech department is a key part of that process of designing and creating new products. Rajan also sheds light on the online travel retailer's approach to web 2.0 technologies and talks about his vision for the company's future.
