An airport worker from Sale has won the largest ever online slot machine pay-out - for an investment of just £3.
Michelle Black won £201,000 at Ladbrokescasino.com, eclipsing the previous record of £180,000 - won at the same virtual one-armed bandit site. Black said reading about that pay-out was what made her try her luck in the online casinos.
Black, who is facing the axe at work, told the Sun: "I can now go for redundancy knowing I'll be financially secure."
Black became hooked on gambling when she spent a day off sick from work in January gambling on the horses and winning £1,700. Such a use of a sick-day may offer some indication as to why she was facing redundancy in the first place.
