While I agree with Mr. Greenfields comments on the challenges of bringing the benefits of IPTV to consumers, there is another side of the equation that plays an important role. Business will surely benefit from the expanded avenues of reaching the consumer and the specific consumer they target, at that. It is exactly this economic drive that will bring lower cost delivery of video via a multitude of paths, that will make IPTV a resounding sucess. That, and the unstoppable habits of the under 30 generation. They have never lived in a world without digital access. And they won't be tied down. Spatial and temporal bounds are not something they will tolerate. If you want to see the future, watch the children.
