This could well herald the end of the TV licence, that archaic and hugely expensive to collect "tax" (except to Capita who do very well out of it thank you!!). I foresee that bandwidth usage will be charged in some complicated "per channel per second" software accounting at ISPs (?) and paid on to the channel providers. Or perhaps through a prepaid card in a card reader plugged into a USB port.
No??? Mind boggles. But any boggling is better than a TV licence fee.
