The Lycos approach is not a DDS since Lycos declared not to let spam servers crash down. It is obvious and to some extend ok that a company like Spamhaus wants to promote their own paid for software. But to blame Lycos for a really cool and helpful tool is not the right way. Make love not spam(haus) ;-)
