E-mail is inherintly unsafe at the moment. I know that if I get an email claiming to be from a bank then it will be a phishing spam or some virus. My bank never contacts me by email and that is the way I want it as a customer - nice and safe.

If the IT industry developed a usable safe method of communication I am sure the banks would use it. IT geeks may well know all about encryption and those personal key things but they are not user friendly and they don't stop me getting mail that pretends to be from a bank.

Come on IT industry - give the banks the tools to make my online banking safe.
