UPDATED: FA goes down on eager England fans

Who's in the squad? Where's the site gone? Two burning questions answered right here...

Expectant England fans hoping to find out who had made it into Sven's final 23 for this summer's World Cup were having problems accessing the FA's official website this morning.

Although the FA ramped up its bandwidth considerably in expectation of high levels of demand, the sheer volume of traffic still caused the site to become inaccessible to many England fans trying to log on around the time of the Sven's announcement.

According to a spokesman for theFA.com, 60,000 concurrent users were on the site at 10:00(BST) when the announcement was expected. Around two million users accessed the site in one two hour period this morning as expectations reached fever-pitch.

Any silicon.com readers still unable to find out who made the cut look no further.
