365 Corp founder quits

Danny Kelly under the moon about change in direction...

The founder of 365 Corporation, Danny Kelly, has quit the company after its decision to ditch music and sports internet content and focus on voice portal services.

Kelly, previously editor of music magazines Q and NME and sports magazine Total Sport, co-founded the company in 1997 to offer sports and music content on the internet. However, the music365 site was shut down and the sports sites merged with Rivals.net.

The company's restructuring plans focus on its consumer division, which includes call termination services, mobile phone provisioning and Eckohtec - a voice portal service.

Sources close to the situation admitted the shift in the company's focus has been a contributory factor in Kelly's decision to pursue his interest elsewhere.

Former TV and radio presenter Kelly is due to return to BBC Radio tomorrow with broadcasting partner Danny Baker.
