UK consumers rate price over home page content

They just want to click and go...

UK consumers care very little about the content their ISP offers on its home page.

A survey by One.Tel revealed people aged between 20 to 50 think content is the least important factor for consumers when choosing an ISP, with 36 per cent saying it has little importance and 32 per cent indicating they have no preference.

The report was conducted to find out whether additional content, such as news, shopping, online communities and chat rooms, is an important factor when UK consumers choose their ISP.

In response to finding out that speed of connection, uptime and pricing was more important to customers, One.Tel reduced its "No nonsense" unmetered internet hours plan to £12.99 per month from £14.99.

According to One.Tel the new price enables customers to have unlimited internet hours from as little as 43p per day.
