Online banking EasyMoney for Stelios

Smile, Egg's over Easy ...

Egg and Smile will soon face some high-profile competition in the world of online banking when Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the man behind EasyJet, launches EasyMoney.

The operation, a joint venture with lenders London Scottish, will introduce an online credit card in September with other services including personal loans to follow.

Stelios had been hoping to team up with Bank of Scotland until those talks broke down earlier this year.
