AOL UK gets its very own chief

She's best known for damning BT, so there'll be no slacking in this CEO's company...

Karen Thomson, previously AOL UK's MD from 1996 to 1999, has been appointed CEO of AOL UK.

The post was recently created along with three other director level marketing positions, MD - acquisition, MD - brand, and director of customer operations.

Thomson is best known for her strong criticism of BT's foot-dragging over unmetered internet access.
