Wanted: The man who stole sex.com

Cybersquatter on the run with $65m stashed safely offshore...

Sex.com domain name holder Gary Kremen has offered a $50,000 bounty for anyone who can help him track down cybersquatter Stephen Cowen, who owes him $65m in court damages.

Cohen failed to attend the trial when a US judge ordered he should pay the damages to Kremen for illegally appropriating the domain name in 1995. His lawyers said he was under house arrest in Mexico at the time, but he has since failed to surface.

Now rightful owner of the popular pornography site, Kremen is willing to shell out $50,000 to anyone who can provide information as to the whereabouts of his nemesis Cohen.

Kremen originally registered the domain name in 1994, but Cohen used false documents to pretend he had passed ownership on, and subsequently set up a highly successful porn site.

April's ruling was the largest of its kind and put an end to a three-year court battle over the name. However, Cohen is thought to have stashed all his earnings away in foreign bank accounts leaving Kremen with nothing so far.
