
Dresdner Bank is to set to launch secure share trading over WAP phones at the end of this month, predicting more than 100,000 traders will be using its online brokerage by the end of the year.

Account holders will be able to access their accounts on the move, with added functionality such as automatic SMS notification of changes in the markets. The participants are also linked to the market information system of Dresdner Bank and can call up more than 50,000 pieces of stock exchange information on their mobile phones.
Currently only three mobile phone models from Nokia are compatible with the service, though the bank says other models will be operational by the end of the year.
