French surfers spent more than 575,000 hours on gambling sites last month, according to the latest figures from research house NetValue.
The figures show that 1.2m French users, 21.6 per cent of the country's total online population, logged on to gambling sites for an average of 27.5 minutes each. Favourite sites included bananalotto.fr, LoTree.com and LuckyVillage.com
NetValue's research also shows that on average French surfers connected to the web for 9.5 days each, a slight drop from the 10.2 days recorded in June.
