Letsbuyit.com launches French operations

Online discount group, Letsbuyit.com, has launched in France with investment from Pinault Printemps Redoute and Sofinnova.

The site, which current boasts 350,000 members in 14 countries, will offer sporting and leisure goods as well as hardware and software.

Letsbuyit.com joins the swelling ranks in France of online discount shops. Current leaders include Alibabuy, Clust, Koobuy and Akai.

The company predicts a turnover of E2bn (£1.2bn) by 2004.
