Fernhart New Media has redesigned Domino Pizza's Web site to offer what they claim is the first online delivery service in this market.
Once a customer has placed an order, he/she enters the postcode of the delivery address and the site will direct the order to the nearest Domino outlet. If there is no local venue, the site will inform the customer of the nearest outlet available and directions to pick up their order in person.
Already noticing a rise in profits from traditional telephone orders, figures from Domino's suggest that customers spend 30 per cent more on orders over the Web.
The venture is currently on trial at five different stores in the South East of the UK - Maida Vale, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Reading-East and Reading-West.
