Lotus and Lycos have teamed up to offer Internet tools that allow users to receive localised news and information services with each version of Notes R5.
The Lotus Notes welcome page will act as a link to functions such as calendars, email and intranet information. Customised news and financial information will be available from the My Lycos homepage, which will also link to Lotus Notes to allow users to search for data simultaneously.
Shipment of Notes R5 is expected to begin in July.
