The US Senate Judiciary Committee has rubber stamped plans to make online gambling illegal. Committee members voted 16 to 1 for the Bill, sponsored by Republican Senator, Jon Kyl.

The move comes as the National Gambling Impact Study Commission prepares to present a long-awaited report to the US Congress. The report is also widely expected to take a tough line on Net gambling.
