
Contract extension - no one else butts in

Tobacco giant BAT has signed a $20m contract extension with Orange Business Services.
The agreement lasts for three years and covers a global wide area network and security.
BAT CIO cited Orange's "global and local presence" as a reason for re-signing.
Orange Business Services is owned by France Telecom and is made up of a number of communications brands, often serving multinationals' network needs, the most well-known of which is Equant. It competes with similar units from service providers including AT&T, BT, NTT, Sprint and Verizon Communications.
Around 30,000 BAT staff will be networked in 85 countries.
The relationship between the two companies goes back to 1994.
