Hull-based Kingston Communications has beaten off competition from BT to win a £1m contract to provide voice and data services for Durex manufacturer SSL.
The two-year deal will see Kingston connect SSL International to its nationwide fibre network using a combination of carrier pre-select and Direct Connect services.
Kingston with provide services for inbound and outbound calls across a network of 11 sites in the UK.
The company will also provide ADSL internet access for SSL's home workers.
SSL, which manufactures Durex condoms and Scholl footwear, expects the deal to bring significant cost savings.
Kingston was up against rival telecoms providers AT&T, BT, Colt, MCI and Streamline in the competitive tender process.
