Europe's mobile movers match Nasdaq lift

Vodafone and mm02 heading in the right direction again...

European shares matched modest gains made by the Nasdaq on Friday by edging into the green this morning.

The tech-laden market closed up 0.05 per cent on Friday. This morning, the FTSE100 was up by 1.22 per cent while on the new markets the TechMark 100 gained 1.56 per cent. The Eurotop 100 was up two per cent while in France the Paris CAC 40 saw its value up by a little more than two per cent.

Gains were more obvious in the mobile sector with mm02 gaining almost six per cent to 40.07p by mid-morning. Vodafone also edged up following three consecutive days of losses at the end of last week. It had gained 1.65 per cent by 10:30(BST) to rest at 92.25p.
