
Tele2 boasts £41m profit...

The second largest telco in Sweden has beaten the sector downturn with a profit for 2001 after adding new subscribers, it said in a preliminary statement.
Profits before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the fourth quarter were SKr629m (£41.6m).
Tele2 added 1.29 million new subscribers to its network during the quarter, pushing its total customer base up by 30 per cent for the year to 15 million.
Sales for the year were up 54 per cent to SKr25bn (£1.65bn).
Full year results will be reported on 19 February.
