ISP pulls off deal with largest shareholder

Germany's third largest telephone and ISP company is created...

German ISP Freenet is to acquire the fixed line business of its majority shareholder Mobilcom.

According to FT Deutschland, the deal will see the creation of Germany's third largest combined telephone and internet service provider with potential revenues of over $445m.

Freenet is 77 per cent owned by the German Mobilcom.
