This is Heathrow Airport's new Terminal 5 (T5) in all its glory.

The project has been five years in the making and is due to open - on time and on budget - on 27 March, 2008.

T5 has been jointly developed by BAA - which runs the airport - and British Airways which will become the sole airline operating out of T5.

silicon.com went along to see how the final preparations are going and to see how technology has shaped the building.

Find out which airports have the best internet connectivity - and share your own experiences – at atlarge.com.
