if the business traveller is so vital to the business that they cannot be away from their PC for a short period then they have don't really have much business taking a flight and should try to conduct their meeting via telepresence

you could do most meetings using a webcam and skype!

flying isn't that necessary, but it does suggest a certain status for the traveller

after all a person who "has to fly to paris in the morning" and spends hours away from their desk on some mysterious errand that mere mortals cannot handle is sooo much more important than someone who holds a virtual meeting without leaving their desk and seamlessly gets on with their work once it's done
