The SNCF is making such a deal of this because they provide internet access in high-speed train using a satellite connection which is a fairly different technology of an UMTS/HSPDA internet access.

By the way, how long does it take you to get from Kings Cross to Doncaster by train? (And how long would it take you, if you had a TGV ?).
