Perhaps the reason "iphone muggings" are not as high as expected is because even muggers can see through the transparent over hype of the iphone tripe.

Waving your iphone around in public is more likely to promote mass pointing and joviality probably accompanied by sheep impersonations.

The iphone owner will have plenty of time to make his embarrassing escape whilst the mugger is bent over holding his stomach from the hilarity.
