One major problem in the debate seems to be user ID.
In a world still dominated by real or fake "security" concerns this is an issue we need to deal with. Greed and protecting old revenue streams will be far to easy to cover behind this false front.
We need a simple, cheap and distributed solution that could easily be incorporated in the standard configuration and that most people carry anyway. Based upon an SMS?
