Recommended internet access in Norwich - Cafe Java in Surrey Street has had free wireless internet for at least a year. You will find people with laptops in there at almost anytime of the day. It has been my office on many occasions when in Norwich. The coffee's pretty good too!

Prior to finding that I too had traipsed the streets of Norwich (which are quite hilly) unable to find any working internet access free or otherwise.
