Dear Simon,

Maybe a good point - but kids get bullied and phones get stolen. You could find out where the phone is and possibly use the information to deal with the problem.

More seriously, children unfortunately do get targetted by those in the community that really shouldn't be - and we hear all too often on the news about these things - just think Holly & Jessica. If this technology makes people think twice about these things then how can it be bad?

Yes it could be 'abused' by over-protective parents, but for those of us that know what having kids is like it is another way of trying to protect them from harm.
