Southern have equipped some of their trains with T-Mobile WiFi hotspots. The pricing model is, IMHO, prohibitive...Time based passes bought by credit card starting from £5 for an hour up to £45 for 30 continuous days.

A pricing model that is not usage based is absurd. Internet access via GPRS or even GSM is a far more attractive proposition and a couple of orders of magnitude cheaper!
