This is good information. I tried out Google SMS service and it works from my tmobile phone. I also found this site that offers a whole bunch of text messaging services. I use them for sending FREE international text messages, product reviews, weather, movies etc. Take a look. I do know several people are using them and many of them found it useful. I have also heard they may have a tie up with Yahoo for these services.
