If the screen tempts you to a video-viewing marathon, Nokia advises the battery will support four-and-a-half hours of telly in offline mode.

For the more social networking-minded, the home screen can be customised with widgets which give one-click access to web apps including Facebook.

The contents of the homescreen can be reordered by dragging and dropping, and the icons automatically rearrange themselves depending on whether the phone is being held horizontally or vertically.
