silicon.com had an exclusive sneak preview of O2's first own-branded handset since the XDA this week - a new music player phone called the Cocoon.

The Cocoon is due to launch in August and O2 says it has been designed specifically as an integrated music device and phone aimed at the youth market who want music on the move.

The white clamshell design (it will also come in green) pictured here can store up to 500 songs using the 2GB internal memory and an additional 500 songs using a 2GB micro SD card.

The device took two years to design and O2 said it will be the first in a range of new, own-branded, music-based handsets.
