Working from home (WFH) is extremely popular with tech professionals, judging by the results of the latest silicon.com poll.

Nearly a third (29 per cent) of respondents said they WFH every day and 26 per cent work away from the office at least a 'few times' each week.

Only 10 per cent of respondents said they never work from home - highlighting the extent to which out-of-office working is impacting the modern workplace.

Of the remaining respondents, 11 per cent WFH once per week and 14 per cent take a break from the office a 'few times' per month.

With broadband penetration increasing and new wireless networks springing up all the time, the amount of people doing business away from the office looks certain to increase.

When silicon.com carried out its working from home experiment last month, it was clear that although there are challenges, working from home has lots of benefits.
