The many incarnations of the now ubiquitous gadget

Following RIM's recent launch of its first BlackBerry aimed at non-business users, the Pearl, we take a nostalgic look back at how the ubiquitous gadget has changed through the years.

This is the RIM 957 wireless handheld, one of the first mobile devices from RIM. Packing mobile email and a qwerty keyboard, it was only sold in the company's native Canada.
