NTL has become the latest ISP to boost its broadband speeds to double figures.
NTL has followed the news of its bid for Virgin Mobile with the announcement it's ramping up its speed to up to 10Mbps.
NTL customers with 3Mbps connections will be the first to see their speeds boosted and the ISP has promised to cut their monthly bill by £3 early next year. Upstream speeds will also be increased, to 500Kbps.
The increased speed is thought to be part of NTL's interest in pushing its content offerings, such as video-on-demand.
As part of the new 10Mbps package, NTL will be offering free content including MTV clips and online gaming, as well as educational content aimed at children.
