The UK Institute of Directors (IoD) has teamed up with Cisco and Wireless Workplace to offer a Wi-Fi wireless LAN connection to its members when they are at its 123 Pall Mall offices in central London.

Users will need an appropriately configured PC card and a laptop to make use of the broadband network.

Wi-Fi is the common name used for the IEEE802.11b wireless standard.
