BT and Microsoft have joined forces with Cisco to provide a voice over IP service that will allow MSN users to make phone calls from their computers.

Users will access the service, PC 2 UK, through MSN's Passport server and have unmetered access to BT's public switched telephone network (PSTN) for a fixed monthly fee.

The service will use a Cisco AS5000 Series Gateway router.
