
mmO2 and Vodafone pick up the scraps...

Hutchison 3G has been awarded the 'A' third generation licence by the Irish telecoms regulator.
The news will leave mmO2 and Vodafone to each receive the lesser 'B' licences.
Under the terms of the deal, which will cost Hutchison £32.8m, the operator will have to provide 80 per cent coverage to the population by 2007.
