Orange customers get the Abbey habit

Top up your air time via an ATM

Orange and Abbey National have joined forces to enable the bank's customers to top up their pre-paid mobiles via cash machines.

Orange users will be able to add airtime by inserting their bank cards in an ATM and selecting an automatic recharge option.

The service has been developed in association with US electronic payment specialist Euronet.

A pilot scheme will begin this month, with a nationwide launch slated for the autumn.
