Two European Bluetooth companies have received millions in investment money.

Red-M, a UK-based Bluetooth company, has received an undisclosed sum of money from Intel to integrate Bluetooth and 802.11 wireless networks into Red-M's Genos software. The Genos software is to be used in notebook and PDA platforms running on Intel-based devices.

The Swedish digital pen manufacturer and Bluetooth firm Anoto is implementing a new share issue that will provide the company with an extra £38m. Mexican technology group PenMex, an unnamed Swedish insurance company and software company C Technologies have all subscribed for the new shares.

PenMex represents industrial partners with stakes in Mexican mobile phone operators and telecom distributors. Anoto and PenMex have signed an agreement regarding implementation of the company's Bluetooth technology in the Latin American market.
