One2One will drop its name and re-brand itself as T-Mobile as part of its international expansion plans.
The UK's fourth largest mobile network operator announced its plans at the weekend, claiming the move will give it access to a wider customer audience and bring it further into the T-Mobile fold.
The German telecoms firm bought One2One in 1999 for £8.4bn.
One2One will also reveal details of a new pricing scheme today expected to spark a price war among operators. It will be the first tariff scheme in the UK to offer free calls to other mobile networks as part of a £25 per month package.
The firm has seven million UK customers - about 19 per cent of the market - but despite a high-profile marketing campaign, starring the likes of Kate Moss, it has failed to catch up with rivals BT, Orange and Vodafone.
