
Western European sales slow after strong year...

The Western European PDA market experienced slow shipment growth during the second quarter of 2001.
According to a survey by Gartner Dataquest, PDA shipment increased by only 7.1 per cent during Q2 2001. During the full year in 2000 the market grew by 123 per cent.
The UK received the most shipments in, accounting for 22.7 per cent of the western European PDA market.
Thomas Reuner, analyst with Gartner Dataquest London, said: "The western European PDA market has entered a phase of transition. Economies of scale and end-to-end solutions for the enterprise market will become critical ingredients for future success."
