Belgacom Mobile has signed a €2m contract for software and services from telecoms billing specialist Intec.
The vendor will supply its InterconnecT offering, to handle voice mainly but also other services. The software will be used to generate and audit interconnect bills both domestically and internationally.
At the end of last week Intec bought fellow billing vendor Digiquant for around $11m. The Danish company also specialises in OSS/BSS - otherwise known as operational support systems and business support systems.
The combined company does business with around half of the world's top fixed and mobile operators.
