Heathrow Terminal 5 opens its doors

After taking five years to build at a cost of £4.3bn, Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport is finally open for business and is set to become one of the most technologically advanced airport terminals in the world. silicon.com has been following the project since 2006 and has seen how technology has played a key part in its development.
