Fujitsu lays ICL to rest

No more shall it speak its name...

Fujitsu has finally laid the ICL brand to rest, renaming its services division Fujistu Services.

The new company will be based in London, and will comprise all of Fujistu's service activities in the EMEA region. It will take most of its 15,500 employees from the old ICL.

The market for IT services won't pick up until 2003, the company also said. Though the services market is generally more robust than the market for hardware, Fujitsu predicts demand will be flat for most of the year and won't start rising significantly until late 2003.
