
Share prices upwardly mobile...

UK telcos were quick off the mark this morning making strong gains.
BT's demerged mobile unit mmo2, which began trading on Monday, was riding high on a gain of 6.7 per cent. It opened at 78 pence at the beginning of the week and by mid-morning today was sitting pretty at 90 pence.
Likewise FTSE king Vodafone was on the up with gains of 1.8 per cent. The upward move was mirrored across the sector as Cable and Wireless moved three per cent into the green and Energis climbed 4.3 per cent.
Telecoms firms led the charge during morning trading pushing the FTSE 100 up 0.77 per cent. The TechMark FTSE 100 gained per 1.3 cent by late this morning.
