Palm has regained its position as the number one money maker in the handheld PDA stakes.
Last quarter Compaq jumped up to first place with its more expensive iPaq device. However, data for the third quarter from Gartner Dataquest shows that while both companies have seen a slump in shipments, Palm has maintained higher revenues.
Compaq generated $83m from 185,000 shipments while Palm was way ahead with $200m from 754,000 shipments.
