BT announced that it has passed the four million barrier for its broadband connections.
According to figures released by the telco today, one million of the newly connected fat-pipers joined BT in the last four months and one new customer is getting broadband from BT every 10 seconds.
The telco says that 95 per cent of the UK can now get broadband, with that figure expected to rise to over 99 per cent by the summer.
BT's recently published half-year results saw a considerable contribution from its new focus on connectivity. Turnover, excluding exceptionals, from the new-wave businesses - mobile, broadband and ICT services - rose by 34 per cent to £2bn.
